Lil’ Wayne gave $200,000 to help rebuild his Louisiana childhood playground which was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. This is nothing new for the eight time Grammy nominee, who has been helping to clean up his home town since the day the tragedy struck. I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation. [Applause]
Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity.
But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the Negro is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.

After all the commercials running back-to-back on the channels I like to watch, after all the ads showing up repeatedly on the web sites I like to visit, after all the hoopla, opening day for the movie Notorious finally rolled around. A line from “Dumb Girl” by Run DMC off of the album Raising Hell. The artist of the first Hip-Hop album to go platinum will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and the late legendary Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell will officially be inducted.
The one and only Bobby Womack will also get a well deserved welcome to the Hall to be among the musical greatest.
The Artist formally known as Prince, then known as that symbol, then once again known as Prince, has been accused of plagiarism.
Bruno Bergonzi and Michele Vicino are two Italian writers who released “Takin’ Me to Paradise” in 1983, and the courts in Rome have ruled that “The Most Beautiful Girl in The World” borrowed from the Bergonzi and Vicino song heavily.
The case has gone on forever, and been appealed and stuff, but this is as close as it has ever gotten to Prince having to pay. The judicial system over there has like a three tier process, and there’s only one more hearing to go before Prince has to cough up royalties and what not to those Italian brothas.

President Elect Barak Obama loved Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comics as he grew up. His Senate Web site used to have a photo of him posing in front of a Superman statue.
Marvel Comics has announced it will give the president-elect a “shout-out back” by featuring him in a bonus story, said Joe Quesada, Marvel’s editor-in-chief.
The comic starts with Spider-Man’s alter-ego Peter Parker taking photographs at the inauguration, before spotting two identical Obamas, according to the Associated Press.
Parker notices a Barak impostor, then Spiderman picks out the poser somehow with a basketball, then punches the impostor’s lights out to save the inauguration.
