It’s been over 3 years since the Terrell Owens fiasco, but it appears that Andy Reid is ready to take another gamble on a controversial player.
The Philadelphia Eagles agreed with free-agent quarterback Michael Vick on Thursday evening to a 2-year deal, as Vick will be eligible to make his 2009 season debut in Week 6 on October 18th against the Oakland Raiders.
Vick will also be eligible to make what now has to be a much-anticipated return to the Georgia Dome on December 6th in Week 13 to face the Atlanta Falcons, who drafted him with the 1st overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft.
Ironically, Vick’s last NFL game was against the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve of 2006, as he completed 8 of 14 passes for a season-low 81 yards during Atlanta’s 24-17 loss.
Drake collapsed on stage last night while performing “Baby You’re The Best” with Lil Wayne. Peep the video, where Drake hits a spin move and goes straight to the ground. Twenty-seven men up, twenty-seven men down!
Take the shackles off his feet, so he can dance!
Michael Vick’s sentence for his involvement with dog fighting is over. This bracelet if off, and he has paid his debt to society.
Now he will seek reinstatement to the NFL, and he will get reinstated. Then, he will unfortunately have to deal with a lot of hate.
“Dante Stallworth just got released after doing 24 days for MURDER, Brandy did no time after killing a man with her car, yet Vick gets years in jail for killing dogs (Tyrone).”
I just wanna say out loud one more time: Michael Vick has paid his dept to society. In comparison, he’s paid it and then some.
Tonight should be an emotional evening for 23-year major league veteran pitcher Greg Maddux, as he will get his #31 jersey retired & a spot in the Team Hall of Fame for an Atlanta Braves franchise in which he won 194 of his 355 games with. Former Braves legends that are scheduled to appear tonight […]
CHICAGO, IL – Who is this Willis character anyway?
The public renaming ceremony will be hosted by Willis Group Holdings. That’s the London-based insurance brokerage that secured the naming rights as part an agreement to lease 140,000 square feet of space. Willis has said it plans to bring hundreds of jobs to the city.
Oh, okay. An insurance company in London.
But how dare they change the name of the building without asking me first. I probably would have said no, but they could’ve at least asked.
I hope the City of Chicago and Mr. Willis don’t mind if I continue to call the building the Sears Tower. They will just have to deal with it like the people at that company called US Cellular. I’m about to go to Comiski Park to watch the game.
Football fans everywhere are shocked & saddened today, as former NFL quarterback Steve McNair has been found dead in an apparent double homicide.
McNair’s murder comes just 15 months after his retirement from the NFL in April of 2008 from the Baltimore Ravens.
Steve McNair grew up in Mount Olive, Mississippi & was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 1991 MLB amateur draft.
He then spent 3 years at Alcorn State University, where he won a game in 1992 against Grambling where he scrambled into the end zone for a game-winning touchdown despite a leg injury that he suffered earlier in the contest.
