A key player in last July’s Rich Harden trade will not be with the team come Opening Day 2009. The Chicago Cubs released righthander Chad Gaudin on Sunday, which ends his brief  & disappointing stint with the North Siders. In just 24 games last season for the Cubs, Gaudin gave up 21 runs in 27 […]

Now that the NBA’s regular season is winding down, it’s time for me to hand out my Award Predictions. Let’s get it started….. 6th Man of the Year: Jason Terry, Dallas Mavericks. Among players that have appeared in 50 or more games, Terry’s 19.6 points per game ranks first among NBA reserves. Terry also has […]

If Allen Iverson’s role with his 3rd NBA team doesn’t change next season, then the 14-year veteran guard could be leaning towards retirement. The Detroit Pistons decided on Friday to shut Iverson down for the rest of the regular season with a sore back injury, as the team is fighting to lock down the #7 […]

Apparently, Jerry Angelo wasn’t content with adding just Jay Cutler. The Chicago Bears added veteran offensive tackle Orlando Pace today to a 3 year deal, which will reunite him with head coach Lovie Smith. (Smith was the Rams’ defensive coordinator from 2001-03. Pace has blocked for past former MVP’s which include Marshall Faulk & Kurt […]

Before i say anything else, major props goes out to DJ Special Blend for beating me to blogging about Cutler. However, i was the first person among my 243 Facebook pals to post  a status about the trade, so i’m happy with that! 🙂 Now, let’s get to what has to be one of the […]

That’s what’s up!!!

This has got to be the best quarter back that the Chicago Bears have had in my entire lifetime.

Every since Jay Cutler wanted a trade, we all had our fingers crossed.

The perfect fit for the Bears and the Broncos, cause they get a halfway decent QB in return in Kyle Ortman. Not to mention two first round draft picks.

The text message from the Go-To-Man Mattie T. came through today.

Now, all we need is someone for him to throw to, so Devin Hester can go back to returning full time. Or, maybe Hester’s speed can finally be exploited with Cutler’s arm?

If Gary Sheffield joins the 500 homer club, it won’t happen in Motown. The Detroit Tigers released the 9-time All-Star on Monday, which now frees Sheffield to sign with any team. Sheffield ended his 2-year run with Detroit in disappointing fashion, as he tied a career-high with 83 strikeouts in 2008  (also struck out 83 […]

Officer Robert Powell of the Dallas Police Department has resigned following a March 18th incident in which he stopped Houston Texans’ running back Ryan Moats. Moats ran a red light & explained to the officer that his mother-in-law was dying, but Powell ignored Moats’ request & not only wrote him a ticket, but pulled out […]

After turning down surgery for a partially torn ligament & tendon in his right elbow, Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback Carson Palmer has deemed himself healthy for the 2009 NFL season. Palmer appeared in just 4 games last season for the 4-11-1 Bengals & completed just 58.1% of his passes for 182.8 yards per game, which are […]

The field is set for Saturday’s Final Four action at Ford Field in Detroit, MI! The biggest surprise team that’s still remaining is #3 seed Villanova from the East region, who beat top-seeded Pittsburgh in an absolute Elite 8 Thriller on Saturday night. Villanova’s Scottie Reynolds became the hero after he was able to manuever […]
