Milwaukee’s Zack Greinke to start season on DL..

Written by on March 9, 2011

Zack Greinke will have to wait just a bit longer to make his National League debut, as the Milwaukee Brewers’ new ace pitcher will be sidelined for 2-4 weeks after breaking a rib during a pickup game of basketball.

Greinke regularly plays offseason basketball, but said that this is the first time he’s ever been injured from it.

He will most likely be eligible to make his Brewers debut on April 16th at Washington.

Greinke has a career record of 60 wins & 67 seasons in his 210 games played with a 3.82 ERA.
