With 1:48 left in the 1st quarter of Thursday evening’s game between the Celtics & Lakers, Boston’s Ray Allen put himself into the record books with his 2,561st career made three-pointer to break Reggie Miller’s old record.
Miller was in attendance to see the record-breaker live, as he is working as a color commentator for TNT, who is broadcasting the game.
The twosome shared a handshake at midcourt during free throws from Lakers center Andrew Bynum & a hug at the end of the first quarter.
Allen is shooting a career-best 46.2% from beyond the arc in his 15th NBA season.
