Milton Bradley, Welcome to Chicago!

Written by on January 5, 2009

Earlier today, the Chicago Cubs agreed on a $30 million, 3 year deal with the controversial free agent outfielder Milton Bradley.

Pending a completed physical, the Cubs will be Bradley’s 7th different team since 2000.

Bradley’s new deal with the Cubs comes after a career 2008 season in Texas in which Milton set career highs in batting average (.327), total bases (221), slugging percentage (.583), on-base percentage (.446), walks (77), home runs (22) and runs batted in (74).

Bradley is a good hitter against southpaws (.303 career average vs. lefties) & is a career .301 daytime hitter, which should benefit the Cubs with all the day games that are played at Wrigley Field.
