Congratulations to Charlie Manuel’s Philadelphia Phillies, who will be headed to their third conseuctive National League Championship Series.
The last time that was accomplished was from 1976 to ’78, when the team was managed by Danny Ozark.
As for Dusty Baker’s Cincinnati Reds, they fail to reach their first National League Championship Series since 1995.
Philadelphia will now await the winner of the San Francisco/Atlanta series.
