During a disasterous first half in which he was sacked NINE times, Jay Cutler was knocked out of the game with a concussion as the Chicago Bears’ offense never get it going during their 17-3 to the New York Giants on Sunday evening.
To make matters worse for Chicago, backup quarterback Todd Collins also got hurt due to a stinger.
That left the Bears with just one healthy quarterback, as 3rd stringer Caleb Hanie completed 3 of 4 passes for 36 yards in limited duty.
The Giants got big games out of Ahmad Bradshaw (23 rushes for 129 yards) & Hakeem Nicks (8 catches for 110 yards) to even themselves at 2-2.
It is unsure whether Cutler will start next week, as the Bears will visit the winless Panthers in Carolina.
It will also be a homecoming for Julius Peppers, who forced a fumble on Eli Manning that was recovered by Brian Urlacher in the 2nd quarter.
