New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady is now the highest paid player in the league, as the two sides to a 4-year extension that will be worth up to $72 million.
Brady had a successful 2009 season following a devastating knee injury that cost him 15 games in ’08, as he completed 371 of 565 passes (65.7%) for 4,398 yards with 28 touchdowns & 13 interceptions.
The 32-year old veteran from the University of Michigan will enter 2010 with the 6th highest career passer rating (93.3) of all-time among quarterbacks.
