Girl Shot Leaving West Side Party

A 15 year old give was shot leaving a house party on the West side early Saturday morning per the Sting Ray news group.

The girl was leaving a home in the 1000 block of South Albany with friends around 2 a.m. when they saw a fight start outside, Chicago Police said.

The girl and her friends hid in a gangway, where they were approached by an 18- to 20-year-old man with a semi-automatic handgun. The man said, “What now, [expletive]?” before firing one shot at the girl, police said.

No one else was injured.

The girl, who was shot in the abdomen, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. The hospital would not give an update on the girl’s condition Saturday afternoon because she is a minor.
