Mattie T’s Game 2 Recap of the 2010 NBA Finals

After a subpar Game 1 performance that saw him score just 12 points, Ray Allen decided to take matters into his own hands in order to send Boston home with a split.
Not only did the Celtics win the game, but Allen made some NBA history as well.
Boston’s sharpshooting guard hit a Finals-record eight three-pointers, as the Celtics used a late 4th quarter run to beat Los Angeles 102-89 & tie the series up at one game apiece.
Allen was absolutely on fire in the 1st half, as he tied a Finals record with three-pointers, which invoked memories of Michael Jordan’s performance in Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals against Portland.
Rajon Rondo continued his amazing postseason with yet another triple-double (19 points, 12 rebounds & 10 assists), as he’s halfway to tying Larry Bird’s mark for the most career triple-doubles in Celtics’ playoff history.
Kobe Bryant was saddled with foul trouble for the first time in the playoffs, as he was held to just 21 points and already vowed “that he won’t get five fouls in Game 3.”
Game 3 will be played on Tuesday evening in Boston at 8PM cst.
