No matter what LeBron James does on July 1st, he’ll have a new coach for next season.
This comes after the Cleveland Cavaliers decided to part ways with Mike Brown on Sunday, which ends his 5-year run with the team.
With Cleveland’s recent loss to Boston in the NBA Playoffs, it marks the first time ever in league History that a back-to-back 60+ win team has failed to reach the NBA Finals.
Brown’s only trip to the NBA Finals as a head coach was during the 2006-07 season when his Cavaliers went up against the San Antonio Spurs & suffered a 4-game sweep.
His biggest accomplishment to-date was winning the 2009 NBA Coach of the Year award & leading Cleveland to a franchise-best 66 wins, despite losing in 6 games to Orlando in the Eastern Conference Finals.
