One of the league’s all-time greatest kickers called it a career on Wednesday, as 17-year veteran Jason Elam signed a 1-year contract with the Denver Broncos to retire where he began his career.
Elam was Denver’s kicker during both of their Super Bowl wins in 1998 & 99, and also ranks 5th on the NFL’s all-time scoring list with 1,983 points.
In addition to this, he is the only kicker to go 16 consecutive seasons with at least 100 points or more.
Jason will forever be a part of NFL history, as he tied Tom Dempsey’s record with a 63-yard field goal on October 25th, 1998 against Jacksonville.
