In a day filled with upsets, noone did it better than #14 seeded Ohio, who shocked Georgetown 97-83 for their first tournament win in 27 years.
Junior guard Armon Bassett scored a game-high 32 points, while freshman guard & Chicago native D.J. Cooper added 23 points & 8 assists for the Bobcats.
Georgetown was led by Chris Wright’s 28 points, as the Hoyas were unable to stop Ohio’s hot shooting (58.2% for the game & 56.5% from three-point range).
Ohio will move on to play the winner of the Tennessee/San Diego State game on Saturday.
