The Houston Astros will most likely begin Opening Day without their star 1st baseman Lance Berkman after his knee surgery on Saturday, which will sideline him for the next 2 to 4 weeks.
Berkman had somewhat of a down season in 2009, as he failed to hit 25 or more home runs & drive in 100 or more runs for the first time since 2005, which is when he helped Houston to their first ever World Series appearence.
Geoff Blum will get the 1st chance to take over for Berkman at first base until his return, as he started 10 games at that position last season for the Astros.
