In salary cap move, Bulls deal Salmons to Milwaukee..

In an effort to save up salary cap room for the 2010 offseason, the Chicago Bulls have traded swingman John Salmons to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for forward/center Kurt Thomas & center Francisco Elson.
The move should please Bulls fans, as both Thomas & Elson have expiring contracts that are effective at the end of the current season.
Art Garcia is reporting via Twitter that Thomas will be bought out by the Bulls & will become a free agent.
Chicago is still trying to make a late run for Tracy McGrady, as they are fighting with New York for his services (and a whopping $22 million contract that’s off the books next summer!)
Salmons could not follow up the impressive 2nd half of 2008 with the Bulls, as he was unable to provide Chicago with a consistent scoring option (38.9% shooter in 28 starts compared to 47.1% in 23 games as a sub) and is involved in his 2nd straight midseason deal.
