Justin Verlander is set for a big pay raise next season, as the Detroit Tigers agreed to a $80 million, 5 year deal with their 2-time All-Star pitcher.
Verlander’s new deal comes after a career 2009 season for Detroit, which he set new career-highs in games started (35), wins (19), complete games (3), innings pitched (240), strikeouts (269) & E.RA (3.45).
