The Chicago Bulls got six players in score in double figures during their impressive 92-85 opening night win over the San Antonio Spurs from the United Center.
A healthy Luol Deng led the way with 17 points & 9 rebounds, while Derrick Rose pumped in a near triple-double with 13 points, 7 rebounds & 7 assists in 33 minutes of play.
Tim Duncan was an unstoppable force for the Spurs, as he scored a game-high 28 points & grabbed 16 rebounds.
Tony Parker struggled to get anything going though, as the starting point guard scored just 8 points on 4-of-11 shooting in 34 minutes.
Richard Jefferson scored just 9 points on 3-of-9 shooting in just his 2nd game as a member of San Antonio.
The Bulls will now travel to Boston & try to re-claim some of the magic that made last April’s 1st round series one of the best playoff matchups ever, as they’ll face a healthy Kevin Garnett, newly acquired Rasheed Wallace & the Celtics on Friday evening.
