In a game that featured six home runs, Jeff Mathis chose the conventional way to end it.
Mathis’ 11th inning double off David Robertson won it for the Angels, who can now tie this series up with a win tonight over the Yankees.
New York did belt out 4 home runs, but also left 19 men on base & were unable to start any rallies in the game’s final 3 innings.
Scott Kazmir will pitch tonight & is 2-1 in 3 starts against the Yankees with a 3.20 ERA, while C.C. Sabathia will pitch on short rest.
