CHICAGO, IL – I just hope I ain’t jinxing the situation right now.
The average price of unleaded regular gasoline was $2.84 on Wednesday, down from $2.85 on Tuesday and $2.90 a week ago, according to AAA. Prices are up from a month ago, when they averaged $2.77, but far below the year-ago average of $4.22.
Excuse me while I go fill up right quick before somebody changes there mind again.
Average retail gasoline prices nationally have fallen for 10 straight days.
Meanwhile, oil prices fell Wednesday, settling at $69.31 a barrel, despite another decline in crude supply as doubts linger about whether American consumers and businesses will be using more energy anytime soon.
Okay, just in time for July 4th. I’ll take it.
