The small town of Parkersburg, Iowa is in mourning as their beloved 58-year old longtime high school football coach Ed Thomas was shot & killed on Wednesday by a former player who reportedly was taken into a psychatric ward just days before the incident.
Thomas had spent the last 34 years coaching high school football at Aplington-Parkersburg & helped develop current NFL players such as Green Bay defensive end Aaron Kampman, Jacksonville offensive lineman Brad Meester, Detroit defensive end Jared DeVries & Denver offensive lineman Casey Wiegmann.
