GARY, IN – Jada Justice, who is almost 3 years old, has been missing since late Tuesday night.
The F.B.I. has joined in the search for the little girl that was being watched by her 18 year old cousin Angelica Castillo, who left the child unattended when she went into a gas station to buy a pack of squares.
NBC Chicago: Police say the cousin, Angelica Castillo, left the child unattended when she went into the convenience store at the gas station . Castillo is being held by Gary Police as a person of interest, The Times of Northwest Indiana Cmdr. Anthony Titus reported Thursday. But Gary police said it doesn’t appear that she had anything to do with the toddler’s disappearance.
There is no Amber Alert for the missing child, because Amber Alerts require a suspect and a vehicle description.
Jada is 2 years and 10 months old, 2-feet 2-inches tall, weighs about 35 pounds and is black. She was last seen sitting in her cousin’s older model Cadillac at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, wearing an orange skirt and a striped shirt, police said.
