44-year old former major league baseball star Jose Canseco will try a hand in mixed martial arts, as he is set to make his debut on Tuesday in Yokohama, Japan.
Canseco’s opponent will be 7’2, 330 pound Hong Man Choi of South Korea who will be partaking in just his fourth career MMA fight & has a career 1-2 record.
Canseco had a press conference today to promote the fight and said that “I’m scared. This guy (Choi) is huge. I have had a lot of challenges in my baseball career and hopefully, i can do well tomorrow.”
Canseco has fought with a few celebrities before in the boxing world, which includes former Partridge Family star Danny Bonaduce (draw) & former Philadelphia Eagles player Vai Sikahema (loss).
Canseco will be fighting in Japan’s Yokohama Arena, which seats 17,000 & is expected to be sold out for his bout on Tuesday.
