4/20 Weed Bust on Near West Side

CHICAGO, IL – While the smoke was still in the air from the counter-culture weed holiday 4/20, there was a big marijuana bust in West Town.
Jeremy Peterson, 31, of the 2400 block of West Madison Street, was charged Monday night with manufacturing and delivering cannabis and two counts of possession of cannabis, according to a Chicago police news release.
Peterson was caught with like $200,000 worth of weed and over $6,000 in cash at his crib. Five-oh had been watching him, and picked their time to make the bust:
Working off a tip about a narcotics delivery, Wood District officers set up surveillance in the 1300 block of West Ohio Street. They saw Peterson enter a garage and leave with a box.
How cold is that? How they gonna bust dude on 4/20? They could’ve at least waited ’til 4/21 outta respect for the holiday. They’ve never arrested Cupid on Valentine’s Day …have they?
Not only that, think of all the people who are gonna be dry today cause that source has been interrupted. Weed smokers are poeple too 🙂
