Head-to-head playoff meetings: Spurs lead 2-1. Last meeting was during the 2006 Western Conference Semifinals, which Dallas won in 7 games.

Season series recap:

November 4th, 2008@San Antonio:

Dirk Nowitzki scored a game-high 30 points & grabbed 7 rebounds, while Jason Terry added 29 to help Dallas record an easy 98-81 win against San Antonio.

The Spurs were led by Tony Parker’s 22 points, while Tim Duncan added 19 points & 15 rebounds. San Antonio played this game without Manu Ginobili, who was sidelined with an ankle injury.

Dallas outrebounded San Antonio 45-31 & shot 53.1% from the field.

December 9th, 2008@Dallas:


Tim Duncan scored 32 points & grabbed 14 rebounds to help San Antonio win a 133-126 double overtime thriller over Dallas. Tony Parker added 29 points, 10 assists & 5 rebounds as he was one of six Spurs players to reach double figures.

Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas with 35 points & 10 rebounds in a losing effort, while Jason Kidd added 24 points, 12 rebounds & 8 assists.

The Mavericks played this game without Josh Howard, who was sidelined with an ankle injury.

February 24th, 2009@San Antonio:

Tony Parker exploded for 37 points & 12 assists, as San Antonio beat Dallas 93-76 without the services of both Tim Duncan & Manu Ginobili.

Michael Finley added 16 points, as the Spurs held the Mavericks to just 34.2% shooting for the game.

Josh Howard led Dallas with 19 points despite shooting just 5-of-17 from the field.

The Mavericks played without Jason Terry, who was out with a broken bone in his left hand.

March 4th, 2009@Dallas:


Josh Howard led the way with 29 points & 7 rebounds, as the Mavericks withstood 37 from Tony Parker to knock off the Spurs 107-102.

Dirk Nowitzki added 24 points & 12 boards for Dallas, who shot 53.6% for the game.

The Spurs played without Manu Ginobili, who was nursing an ankle injury.
