Woman Stabbed and Killed in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO, IL – A big-ass fight broke out in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood early this morning, and a woman was stabbed and killed. She was 28.
Maribel Moreno, of the 4300 block of West Thomas Street, was dead on the scene. The incident took place about 2:30 a.m.
“Witnesses related an undetermined number of people were fighting in the residence where the woman was fatally stabbed,” said Officer David Banks, Chicago police spokesman.

“Investigators say Orlin Ortiz fatally stabbed 28-year-old Maribel Moreno Thursday in the 4300-block of West Thomas.
Ortiz is 19 years old. He is known to frequent Emerson and Warren parks on the city’s Northwest Side.
