Drive By Shooting in South Deering

CHICAGO, IL – Two girls survive a drive by shooting on the South East side. Both girls were teenagers, and luckily did not sustain any life threatening injuries.
The girls, one of whom was believed to be 17, were shot in a drive-by about 9:20 p.m. in the 9800 block of South Hoxie Avenue, said News Affairs Officer John Henry.
The girls were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said. According to preliminary information, one girl had a graze wound in the arm and the other girl had a wound in the leg.
