Man Killed Woman Shot in Back in West Pullman

CHICAGO, IL – The male victim was identified as Jason Brown, 21, of the 11500 block of South Yale Avenue according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Brown and the 26-year-old woman were shot about 12:22 a.m. while in a vehicle that was in an alley in the 12200 block of South Harvard Avenue, police said in a news release.
The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in stable condition; Brown was pronounced dead about 5 a.m. at the medical examiner’s office, authorities said.
Police originally said the attack may have been gang-related, but have since said the motive remained unknown.
No information on an offender was available.
