Motocyclist Killed in Accident on the South Side

CHICAGO, IL – A motorcycle driver was killed when a van smashed into him Saturday evening in the Roseland neighborhood, police said.
Dollison and a passenger in his van were uninjured, she said.
The driver of the 1999 Dodge van — Omari Dollison, 22, of the 6500 block of South Maryland Avenue — was issued a citation for allegedly failing to yield the right of way on a left turn, said News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
Coleman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and pronounced dead about 8:55 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Reginald Coleman, 27, of the 400 block of West 95th Place was heading east on 95th Street about 6:45 p.m. when the driver of a westbound van tried to turn left at Forest Avenue and hit Coleman’s motorcycle, police said.
