Even though Kerry Wood has changed teams, his career-long injury bug hasn’t.
Cleveland Indians’ manager Eric Wedge revealed on Wednesday that Wood isn’t ready yet to pitch in Cactus League action yet due to a sore back.
The Indians have no choice but to monitor Wood closely, especially after his 12 trips to the disabled list in 11 years as a Chicago Cub.
In Wood’s first full season as closer last season, he saved 34 games in 66 1/3 innings pitched & made the 2008 National League All-Star Team.
