Kansas City Chiefs fire Herm Edwards….

After suffering the worst season in his 8-year head coaching career that resulted in a 2-14 record, the Kansas City Chiefs cut ties with Herm Edwards on Friday.
Edwards led the Chiefs to a Wild Card playoff berth in 2006 (Lost 23-8 to Indianapolis) but since then, Kansas City has lost 26 of their last 32 games.
Edwards made several controversial moves during his 3-year tenure with the Chiefs, which included benching Damon Huard (Huard’s 98.0 rating was 2nd in NFL) for Trent Green in 2006 & dealing Jared Allen to the Minnesota Vikings in the 2007 off-season.
The Chiefs also gave up a 4th round draft pick in 2006 to acquire Edwards from the New York Jets, which was eventually used on Leon Washington, who made the 2008 Pro Bowl roster.
Edwards’ career coaching record stands at 54 wins & 74 losses.
