This Indie Music veteran is no stranger to the microphone. His roots are deep in Dallas, Texas and his skills on the mic are impeccable.
The brand new single is called Royal Treatment and it features SopBox 360.
We caught up with Ogre Man recently and we were lucky enough to get him to take time from his schedule to talk with BMS Radio Chicago. He briefed us on his recording techniques.
What type of recording process do you use? Who produced your recording? I record at Divine Arrangement Productions with Silent The Assassin and we record on Pro Tools 12. My producer for my songs are C.G. for Manipulative Musicc, Seth Blaze for Seth Blaze Beats and *1 for Tormented Beatz Music. I have also worked with Labo the Beat Maker(from France) and DJ Drop The Mic(From Canada)
Do you ever get the chance to perform live? Yes I have performed with my crew the Dallas Zu aka Skoundrel Life in numerous venues in Dallas, Austin and in Oklahoma.
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal? I enjoy being an independent artist because I control the way my music is presented but if a major label is interested in signing me and the deal is worth while to both parties then I am game. I know normally major labels like to follow whats hot and seeing that I am not a trap rapper or a pop rapper my style may not mesh well with what they attend.
