Huge Marijuana Stash Found in Vegetable Transport

Border protection officers found 310 pounds of weed packed inside a shipment of carrots. The border patrol and Local U.S. Customs arrested a 29 year old United States citizen who was the driver.
The incident took place in Otay Mesa located in San Diego, just north of the U.S.–Mexico border.
Co-mingling in the boxes of bright orange carrots, officers found 42 hidden packages of marijuana worth an estimated street value of nearly $500,000.
I never trust the “street value” that five-O “estimates” it’s drug bust to be. You can always divide it by at least two. Don’t ask me how I know, and don’t ask me how I have experience around drug busts. Just take my word for it.
But still, $250,000 worth of weed is an awful lot. And they mixed it with carrots? Whoever got that shipment was gonna be able to see like Superman. Straight up. Ain’t carrots supposed to be good for your eyes? And weed helps with cataracts, right? I’m just asking.
