Jaleesa Martin had a dispute with her baby’s daddy about their child’s name that ended up in court. Jaleesa Martin wanted to name her son “Messiah,” but she did not want her child to carry the father’s last name. To Martin’s surprise, the judge overseeing the case to her that she couldn’t use the name Messiah either, because that title only belongs to Jesus Christ.
“The word Messiah is a title and it’s a title that has only been earned by one person and that one person is Jesus Christ,” Judge Ballew said.
I was blown away.
Recently, Board of Judicial Conduct Disciplinary Counsel Tim Discenza said the board heard the case, and voted to completely toss Lu Ann Ballew’s findings out the window and censure her judgement from the public.
The discussion had already been overturned a only month after the original judgment had been handed down.
That’s what’s up. What a no-brainer.
