Written by DJ Special Blend from Chicago on February 24, 2014
A man who did security work for Hip-Hop legend Twista was found shot to death and lit on fire over the weekend. Davy Easterling was found dead at 6 a.m. Friday morning in an apartment on the 8300 block of South Baker Avenue.
On Saturday, Twista sent out “#RIP Davy Easterling aka 6’9 I have lost too many good friends to these streets.”
Police are investigating these events as a homicide. The Office of Fire Investigations determined that the fire was started by a person. During the investigation, they determined the smoke detectors worked in the building. Arson investigators from the Chicago’s Finest continue their investigation.
Twista’s Hip-Hop history spans over twenty years. He’s represented Chicago to the fullest during every second of his career. This has to be a tragic turn of events for him.
