Written by DJ Special Blend from Chicago on July 3, 2012
Linda was born on March 4, 1951 in Vicksburg Mississippi to Nanni Mae Hall. Mrs. Forest (Maudell) Sumler adopted Linda in 1963 and raised her. Linda accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized early in her life. She attended Eliza Miller High School in Helena Arkansas where she was honored as “Miss Eliza Miller 1968.” She was very active in school and the church where she sang and played the piano. Following High School, Linda attended Lane College in Jackson, TN. In 1974, Linda moved to Chicago where she pursued a successful career in Human Resources. She loved to cook and would always open the doors to her kitchen and her home to extended family and anyone who wanted a plate.
Linda spent her final years assisting in the daily lives of her grandchildren. She succumbed to a sudden illness. The Lord called for her on June 19, 2012 at 9:09 pm. She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Robert H. Fain, IV, Simone L. Manney (Iris), and Antoinette D. Wallace; along with her grandchildren: Darius and Dorian Manney.
