Thirsty boy stuck in chimney trying to get drink

I am soo glad that this little boy survived this ordeal, so I can ask . . . why? Dude was thirsty, so he climbed down his neighbor’s chimney to get something to drink. I have no clue what the people next door put in their Kool-Aid, but it must’ve been some serious business to this little boy. I would love to wait til he gets older, and just ask him, why? Thirsty? Really?
Firefighters in Utah rescued an 8-year-old boy who had slid down his neighbor’s chimney because he wanted a glass of water.
The boy, Stephen Hopkins, had played with the neighbor’s grandchildren on Friday morning, and returned to the West Valley City home sometime that afternoon, authorities said.
But the neighbors, Sandy and Richard Draper, were not home, prompting Hopkins to pull his Santa-style stunt.
“When we came back at 7:30 p.m., we came in and we hear this voice and Richard said, ‘Oh there’s kids in the backyard,’” Draper, 60, told ABC News. “And I say, ‘Oh, I bet I left the TV on.'”
The sounds were Hopkins’ cries for help. The boy had slid nearly 30 feet down the chimney before getting stuck near the Draper’s basement, police said.
