Breaking News: Angels acquire Vernon Wells via trade

The Los Angeles Angels have made a big trade in order to try & boost their offense for the 2011 season, as they have acquired three-time All-Star outfielder Vernon Wells from the Toronto Blue Jays.
In exchange, Toronto will receive catcher Mike Napoli & outfielder Juan Rivera in return.
The move hopes to please Angels fans who were disappointed after the team missed out on both Carl Crawford & Adrian Beltre in free-agency, as Wells hit over 30 home runs last season for just the 3rd time in his 12-year career.
It also joined him alongside Carlos Delgado, Joe Carter & Fred McGriff as the only Blue Jays to hit 30 homers or more for three seasons.
He’s also been one of the game’s best defensive outfielders, as he has won Three Gold Glove awards & has committed just 21 errors in his 1,390 career games in the outfield.
The Angels will now have an outfield of Wells along with Bobby Abreu & Torii Hunter, who combined to drive in 256 runs last season.
Wells is owed $86 million on his 4-year deal that will end in 2014.
