Mattie T’s Week 16 NFL Predictions
Written by The Go-To-Man Mattie T. on December 23, 2010
Bringin’ the hearst out for my fantasy team, who was upset in the first round 67-58 by none other than DJ Special Blend’s Inner City Youth. I was proud of the effort my team showed despite the season-ending loss, but had two bad breaks go against me…Commish made an excellent move and started Vincent Jackson at the last minute on Thursday, as he wound up with 3 touchdowns. He also started Atlanta’s defense, which wound up with 10 points on 1 play during a Matt Hasselbeck end zone sack.
I am really thinking about hanging it up for good, since this was my best shot at winning a championship with the roster that i had. If this is indeed the end, it was one hell of a ride!
I’m gonna keep it short with this week’s picks..
Week 15: 8-8
Overall: 139-85 (.620)
Winners in bold
Panthers/Steelers: Expect a lot of running in this one. Big game from Rashard Mendenhall.
Cowboys/Cardinals: I look for Dallas to stack the box & make rookie John Skelton beat them through the air. Cowboys have played well enough offensively to earn Jason Garrett a permament head coaching job.
Titans/Chiefs: Say what you want about the AFC West this season, but the Chiefs are 6-0 at Arrowhead. That’s something that should be taken seriously.
Ravens/Browns: Baltimore wins this one to keep pace with Pittsburgh, as the AFC North crown could be decided in Week 17.
Patriots/Bills: Buffalo has played better of late, but won’t be able to slow down a hot New England offense that’s put up 30 or more points in six straight weeks.
49ers/Rams: Sam Bradford over whoever the hell San Francisco starts at quarterback between the “Smiths” this week.
Lions/Dolphins: Ready for a shocker? Detroit will win back to back road games on Sunday.
Redskins/Jaguars: What’s the perfect remedy after a tough divisional loss to Indianapolis? Facing Rex Grossman.
Jets/Bears: Mark Sanchez reportedly has shoulder injury that he plans to play through. Guess this will limit his sideline hot-dog eating skills.
Texans/Broncos: I’m not joking when i say this. Tim Tebow can win you a fantasy championship this weekend. Pick him up and ride the waves!
Colts/Raiders: With Austin Collie knocked out for the season, look for the Colts to hand off to Donald Brown quite often on Sunday afternoon.
Chargers/Bengals: Bolts will get another huge win, as the AFC West title will be decided in Week 17. I see no hope for a Bengals upset here unless Chad Ochocinco can break out of his season-long slump against a damn good Chargers secondary. No Mas!!!
Seahawks/Buccaneers: I wonder which Mike Williams will score more fantasy points at wide receiver. *chuckles*
Giants/Packers: Giants have to still be reeling after that heartbreaking loss to Philly on Sunday. Meanwhile, Packers still have Wild Card hopes with Aaron Rodgers reportedly set to return from his 1-game absence.
Vikings/Eagles: John Beck against that Eagles defense? Vikes.
Saints/Falcons: This should be an excellent high-scoring game, but i think Baltimore showed some flaws in New Orleans’ defense last week. Falcons win a close one to clinch homefield advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.
