In an effort to keep pace with the rest of the Eastern Conference’s elite, the Orlando Magic have pulled off  two seperate deals to acquire 3-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas along with Jason Richardson & Hedo Turkoglu.

Arenas could find himself as the Magic’s new 6th man, as he has a career scoring average of 22.5 ppg in 484 games played.

The Tampa, FL native leaves the Wizards as the franchise’s career three-point leader with 969 made field goals, and the franchise record for most points in a single game (60 against the L.A. Lakers in 12/17/06).

In that same game, Arenas set an NBA record by scoring 16 points in overtime.

Turkoglu returns to Orlando after a 17 month absence, as he had his best NBA season with them in 2008, as he set career highs in games played (82), minutes per game (36.9), field-goal percentage (45.6%), rebounds per game (5.7), assists per game (5.0) and points per game (19.5).

Richardson is only the 2nd player in league history to repeat as the Slam Dunk Champion, joining Michael Jordan (1988-89).

He set a career-high of 23.2 ppg during the 2006 season for Golden State & has scored 18.3 ppg in 671 games played.

In addition to this, Orlando will also receive Earl Clark from Phoenix.

The Washington Wizards will receive Rashard Lewis, who has a career average of 16.7 ppg in 849 games played, which includes 22.4 pgg (career-high) in 2007 for the now-defunct Seattle Sonics.

The Phoenix Suns will receive Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, Marcin Gortat, a 2011 1st-round pick & $3 million in cash.
