The Giants took the lead on a big swing in the top of the 7th inning, as Cody Ross & Juan Uribe hit back-to-back singles off Rangers starter Cliff Lee.
Huff then laid down a sac bunt, as it advanced both Ross & Uribe into scoring position for Pat Burrell.
Burrell struck out swinging, which left it up to Edgar Renteria.
Renteria then blasted a 3-run homer (2nd of World Series) to deep left center, as that gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.
Texas ended the shutout in the bottom of the 7th, as Nelson Cruz hit a 1-out solo homer (1st of World Series) off San Francisco starter Tim Lincecum, as that made it a 3-1 game.
Brian Wilson made quick work of the Rangers in the 9th, as he struck out Hamilton looking before getting Vladimir Guerrero to groundout to Renteria at shortstop on the 1st pitch.
That left it up to Cruz, who struck out swinging to end the 2010 World Series & give the San Francisco Giants their 1st championship in 56 years.
Edgar Renteria took home MVP honors after hitting .412 with 2 home runs & 6 RBI’s.
As for Texas, they fail to become the first AL West team to win a World Series since the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim did it in 2002.
