Matthew Leone of Chicago rock band Madina Lake came to the aid of a woman who was being abused in the street by her husband, and ended up being hospitalized.
“Matthew saw something he didn’t like to see and tried to step in and the guy turned on him instead, but then the two of them (the couple) walked off together like nothing happened,” said a police officer who asked not be identified.
“He’s a Good Samaritan who got the worst end of it,” the source added. “This is a guy who if he had not gotten immediate treatment could have taken a bad, bad turn.” (Chicago Breaking)
So, lemme get this right. Dude tried to help a lady who was getting beat down by her husband, but the guy turned on him and put him in the hospital?
Leone’s twin brother, Nathan, who is also in the band, said his brother had just left his apartment and the two were going to meet up at a nearby bar an hour later.
But before Matthew Leone got to the bar, he saw the man hitting a woman. Witnesses said Matthew Leone managed to separate the two and was calming the situation down, Nathan Leone said.
“As he stepped away to call the police, the guy jumped him from behind and beat him severely,” said Nathan Leone. “Him and his wife left my brother unconscious on the street and took off.”
I guess the lady had no choice but to leave with her husband. I mean, who was gonna save her from him. Really? Matthew tried but old boy was outta control and on some sneaky-ass blind-side shit apparently.
