Mattie T’s Game 3 Recap of the 2010 NBA Finals

The Lakers got a huge contribution from a familiar face, as Derek Fisher took over down the stretch as Los Angeles pulled out a 91-84 win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday evening in Game 3 of the 2010 NBA Finals.
They also got a good performance out of Lamar Odom, who responded with 12 points & 5 rebounds for his best game of the series to this point.
Kevin Garnett finally provided a strong game for Boston with 25 points & 6 rebounds, but Game 2 hero Ray Allen scored just 2 points and missed all THIRTEEN of his field-goal attempts.
Fisher talked about his most recent clutch performance in a career full of them afterwards:
“I think as you grow in this game and you put in the work that’s required to still be around 14 years later, you start to recognize that being in this moment, on this stage, it’s not a given. It’s not something that happens every season. Five or 10 years from now, when I’m long gone, I would have hated to feel like I didn’t just do everything I could have to help my team. Things have worked out well, and we have two more wins to get to really put a nice cap on it.”
