Mattie T’s Game 5 Recap of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals

Dustin Byfuglien picked the perfect time to have his best game of the series, as the Blackhawks’ 257-pound bruising right wing had 2 goals & 2 assists to help Chicago beat Philadelphia 7-4 in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Sunday evening at the United Center.
The Hawks’ early 3-0 lead after the 1st period prompted the Flyers to make yet another goalie switch, as Brian Boucher entered the game for an ineffective Michael Leighton.
Philadelphia head coach Peter Laviolette has not yet announced his starting goalie for Wednesday’s Game 6, as that will most likely spur some controversy before their elimination game.
Joel Quenneville has already acknowledged that Wednesday’s Game 6 will be the biggest of his head coaching career:
“It’s a huge game, biggest game of our lives. Channel it properly, and control—we control what we can control and that’s your next shift.”
Tune in starting at 7pm on NBC Wednesday, as the Blackhawks will try to end their 49-year title drought and bring the Stanley Cup back home to Chicago!
