It appears that Doug Collins is ready to turn in his microphone for a return to the sidelines.
The Philadelphia 76ers agreed to terms Thursday with the 58-year old Collins, who took a 7-year hiatus from head coaching after his last stint with the Washington Wizards from 2001-03.
Similar to former head coach Mo Cheeks, the 76ers decided to hire a former player (Collins spent 8 seasons in Philadelphia) who was a fan favorite with the team during his heyday.
He has a career head coaching record of 332 wins & 287 losses, which includes a 15-23 postseason record.
