Scott Brooks was rewarded on Wednesday for getting Oklahoma City to their 1st ever playoff appearence, as he was named the 2009-2010 NBA Coach of the Year.
He could also take credit for the rising development of 3rd-year star forward Kevin Durant, who is the youngest scoring champion in league history.
Brooks helped the Thunder with an amazing 27-win turnaround from a year ago, as they will prepare to host their first ever playoff game in a must-win situation on Thursday evening facing an 0-2 hole against the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.
