With just three days to go for the 2009-10 regular season, the Chicago Bulls are now in sole possession of the 8th seed & a return trip to the playoffs.
This comes after their 104-88 win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, who dropped their 5th straight game.
Chicago seems to be clicking well at the right time with the return of Joakim Noah, who scored 18 points, grabbed 19 rebounds & had a career-high 7 assists as the Bulls are now 8-4 since getting their starting center back into the lineup.
Derrick Rose led all scorers with 26 points, as he was one of six Bulls players to reach double-figures.
Sonny Weems & Andrea Bargnani each scored 18 points to lead Toronto despite the twosome shooting a combined 16-for-38 (42.1%) from the field.
Jarrett Jack added 14 off the bench, but Hedo Turkoglu was unable to find his shot all night (2-of-12 shooting) despite grabbing a season-high 19 rebounds to go with 9 assists.
Chicago will host Boston on Tuesday before traveling to Charlotte on Wednesday, while Toronto will visit Detroit on Monday & host New York on Wednesday.
Since the Raptors own the tiebreaker, the Bulls will have to win out in order to clinch a playoff spot.
