The Bears have decided to part ways with a key member from their Super Bowl XLI team, as cornerback Nathan Vasher was released on Wednesday.
Chicago drafted Vasher with the 4th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft & saw him record a career-high 8 interceptions in ’05, which led to his only Pro Bowl selection.
He has underacheived in each of the last 3 seasons due to either injury or poor play, as he was benched in favor of Zackary Bowman.
The Bears signed free-agent cornerback Tim Jennings earlier this week, who had spent his entire 4-year career with the Indianapolis Colts.
