The Charlotte Bobcats have signed veteran guard & Ex-Bull Larry Hughes for the remainder of the season, as they look to hopefully clinch their 1st playoff berth in their brief 6-year history.
Charlotte will be Hughes’ 7th different team in his 12th NBA season, as he was last seen playing 31 games in 2009 for the New York Knicks while averaging 9.6 points per game, which is the lowest total since his rookie year.
Hughes has a career average of 14.4 points per game in his career & an 13.2 points per game average in 45 career playoff games, the last instance happening in the 2006-07 season with Cleveland.
Interestingly enough, Hughes will be the 3rd former Chicago Bull on Charlotte’s current roster as he joins Tyson Chandler & Tyrus Thomas.
The Bobcats are currently seeded 6th in the Eastern Conference & are just 2 games behind Milwaukee for the 5th seed.
