Mark Buehrle will make franchise history the next time he steps onto the mound, as he’ll become the White Sox’s Opening Day starter for an 8th straight season on April 5th against Cleveland.
Manager Ozzie Guillen had a tough decision to make between Buehrle & Jake Peavy, but Peavy insisted that he wanted Buehrle to break the record.
Buehrle will try for his 1st Opening Day win since 2005, as he’s received four consecutive no-decisions with Chicago winning 3 of those games.
